One of the most amazing things about a poem is the way the poet paints a picture with his or her words. Here’s a holiday poem for you to read. After you’ve finished, let me know what you think it is. Tell me what words in the poem make you think your guess is correct.
Maybe
Pushed under
The rug,
Or hidden
Behind
A chair,
Or handed
To somebody
Else-
Isn’t there
Just one
More?
i think it mite be a present

Luis and Kaylee both think it might be a gift or present. What words in the poem do you think gave them that idea?

No one has told me what words in the poem make them think their guess is correct. Were there some clues? What were they? Please check your post before you submit. Many are not complete and in some the spelling was so bad! Remember, others are looking at and reading your posts.
